Orange-Crowned Warbler!

An Orange-Crowned Warbler (orestera subspecies) came into the yard just about an hour ago, tagging along with a flock of Bushtits! Just in time to be counted for the GOBC!! He must have got the memo! Thanks little guy.

I don't think that's an Orange-crowned.....I think it might be a Nashville Warbler (female or fall male)! The OC has a distinct light eyebrow and your bird has a subtle eyering and much more yellow on the breast than an OC. Check it out......http://www.birdweb.org/birdweb/bird_details.aspx?id=374

Cheers!

Awesome! Good for you! Thirty-three birds so far. Wow...

My winter-birds have yet to arrive, I'm resigned to only having a few for the GOBC... but it was fun and I got a couple new birds, to boot. Woot!

Plus, I met some awesome new bloger pals! :)

How cute it is! How fortunate to show up in time for the count. I guess I have to stand by the window all day hoping for some last minute birds to count.

Well, looks like I was wrong on that bird. Sorry about that! Who set you straight?
